Ghost with a ZF8 that's started thumping and I'm terrified to even ask the dealer what it costs
My uncle passed me the keys to his 2015 Rolls Royce Ghost a few months back when he moved to London and I've been treating it like a priceless artifact ever since, barely driving it except for the occasional wedding or if I need to feel like a million dirhams for an hour on a quiet Friday morning, but last week I was pulling out of a parking spot near Al Qasba and the gearbox made this really violent thump going from reverse to drive and now it does it every single time when the car is fully warmed up and I'm honestly losing sleep over what the repair bill is going to look like because we all know the dealer doesn't fix these ZF units they just replace them for the price of a small apartment in Al Nahda. I started searching around in a blind panic and stumbled on a forum post where someone mentioned a workshop that actually handles Rolls Royce Gearbox Repair Sharjah and they apparently do the mechatronic rebuilds and solenoid replacements that the main dealer won't touch, which sounds like a miracle because I really don't want to be the guy who turns a family heirloom into a very luxurious paperweight just because the transmission decided to develop a personality disorder.
